1. I have received the email with my PTConline (Google Apps) account credentials.

Yes. Please continue to the next step.
No. Please enter your name and email below, click submit, and we’ll get you your details shortly. Sorry about that.

2. I’m having general computer use issues – I don’t understand what address to type in the browser, I don’t know which buttons to click, I don’t know where to enter the password, etc.

Yes. Please consult the PTConline manual that you received with your account credentials. Consult a fellow student for further assistance. PTC staff don't provide general computer training.

3. Close your browser, re-open it, and try to access online.ptc.edu.au again. Did this work?

Yes
No. Please continue to the next step.

4. If you have another browser installed, open it, and try to log in. If you don’t have another browser, open a ‘private’ or ‘incognito’ browser window, and try to log in. Did this work?

Yes. You might have a browser-specific issue - try clearing your cache (do a web-search for instructions). Otherwise, you might have a conflict with another Google account that you use. Ensure you're logging in with your PTC account.
No. Please continue to the next step.

5. Turn your computer off (not sleep, not hibernate, but off), restart it, and try to log in again. Did this work?

Yes
No. Please continue to the next step.

6. Go to gmail.com. Enter your PTC credentials if asked. If Google automatically logged in, check it is your PTC account - if not, log out, and log in again with your PTC account. Is Gmail working with your PTC account?

Yes. Please jump to step 9.
No. Please continue to the next step.

7. If gmail.com is saying, ‘Couldn’t find your Google Account’, check you're entering your PTC email correctly. Remember .vic in @ptc.vic.edu.au. Enter your name as assigned: e.g. john.paton. Is Gmail working with your PTC account?

Yes. Go to step 9.
No. Please enter your name and email below, submit the form, and we’ll sort this out quickly.

8. If gmail.com is saying ‘Wrong password’, check you are typing the correct password. On first use, this will be the default password you received with your setup email. Otherwise, you set this password. Did this work?

Yes. Please go to step 9.
No. You have forgotten your password or are mis-typing it. Please enter your name and email below, submit the form, and we’ll reset your password.

9. With gmail.com logged into your PTC account, in the same browser tab, go to online.ptc.edu.au. Are you now logged into PTConline?

Yes
